Indemnity
By enrolling your child in swimming lessons at In The Deep, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding responsibilities, risks, and permissions.
Swimming Activity Risks
You acknowledge that aquatic activities involve inherent risks including:
- Risk of drowning in pool environments
- Slipping on wet surfaces around the pool area
- Other water-related injuries during instruction
While our qualified instructors maintain strict safety protocols and are trained in emergency response, you understand that swimming instruction carries these inherent risks.
First Aid & Medical Emergencies
By enrolling in our program, you give us permission to:
- Administer first aid as needed
- Organize hospital treatment if necessary during an emergency
- Take immediate action for your child's safety
Any medical costs incurred are your responsibility.
Health & Medical Information
You are responsible for:
- Disclosing any medical conditions, allergies, or health concerns that could affect your child's swimming safety
- Informing instructors about medications that might affect swimming performance or emergency treatment
- Notifying us immediately of any changes to your child's health status during enrollment
Emergency Contact Requirements
You must:
- Provide and maintain current emergency contact information in your Parent Portal
- Include at least two emergency contacts
- Ensure emergency contacts are reachable during lesson times and able to reach our facility if needed
- Update this information immediately when contact details change
Personal Property
In The Deep takes no responsibility for loss, damage, or theft of personal property while attending lessons at the Juniors Club.
We recommend:
- Leave valuables at home when possible
- Label all items (goggles, towels, swim caps)
- Keep belongings secure during visits
Facility Responsibilities
The Juniors Club takes no responsibility for any risks of injury during the comings and goings of enrolled students while using club facilities, including areas outside the pool.
Children must be supervised at all times while at the club facility, not just during swimming lessons.
Photography & Image Use
In The Deep regularly takes photos of enrolled students during lessons. These photos may be used for:
- Marketing and advertising materials
- Social media and website content
- Staff training and program development
- Promotional materials and communications
By accepting our Terms of Service, you agree that:
- In The Deep owns all images taken during lessons
- We may use these images as outlined above
- Photos are for private use by In The Deep only
Opting Out of Photography: If you do not want your child photographed or their image used, send a written request to info@inthedeep.com.au.
