At In The Deep, we run a skill-based program where every child is placed exactly where they’ll thrive—not just based on age, but on their unique abilities and comfort level in the water.
How It Works
Your child will spend 10 minutes in the water with one of our friendly instructors while a supervisor observes. No pressure, no stress—just a gentle opportunity to see what skills they already have and find their perfect starting point.
Why This Matters
Starting at the right level means your child experiences wins from day one, building confidence instead of frustration. It’s also a wonderful chance for you both to meet our team, see our beautiful chloramine-free pool, and get your bearings before regular lessons begin.

Why We Offer Free Trials
We understand that first swimming lessons can feel like a big step for little families. Brand new environment, new sensations, new people—that’s a lot for little minds to process! Plus there’s plenty to organise: swim gear, towels, bags, parking, club membership requirements.
Some little ones take to water immediately. Others need a gentle introduction first. If you’d like to “test the waters” before committing, we’d love to offer you a completely free trial class—no pressure, no strings attached.

What to Bring
Club Requirements:
- Kids must arrive and leave wearing shoes and clothing (not just swimwear)—it’s a Juniors Club requirement
For Swimming:
- One-piece costume or swim trunks (most comfortable for learning)
- Approved swim nappy (required for all children under 3 or recently toilet trained)
- Swimming cap (club policy—every swimmer wears one!)
Forgot Something? Don’t worry! We sell swim caps, goggles, and approved swim nappies at the pool.
